𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆

 


 

 

As Believers we should be aware that God's spirit, through the virtues of Jesus Christ, now permanently resides in our hearts. In St. John's Gospel, Jesus said to His disciples right before He was crucified...."𝑰 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒂𝒔𝒌 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑭𝒂𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑯𝒆 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒂𝒏𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝑪𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒐𝒓, 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒏𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖".

 

 

 

Now, if we have God's spirit in us, what are the proofs and expressions of the Spirit? What traits does it produce? 

Apostle Paul reveals to us, in His Epistle to the church in Galatia, the answer....

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, (which brings forth) joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. [Galatians 5:22-23 (KJV)].

 

  


Anything done that doesn't have or isn't driven by God's love cannot be inspired by His Spirit. The evidence of God to the world is His love manifested in and through us, via His Spirit. 

 

 

 

It is very impossible to habour hate or grudges in your heart and be filled with the Spirit. It's impossible to curse someone and be filled with the Spirit. The fact is that God's spirit can never inspire you to do something bad to another person. It specifically expresses Love.

 

  

 

In 1Corithians 13, we see the manner in which God's love is depicted.

If you are consistently being filled with the Spirit, you will begin to adopt and express it's traits with ease. God's spirit in you will make you to love more and will eradicate any hate you feel.

𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆

      As Believers, we need to have a greater understanding of the gravity of God's sacrifice. If we'd actually look deeper into what happened on the cross, we would see that nothing ordinary occurred there. There would be much more value given to Jesus if we could understand what He's coming took and the changes it made.       In the Acts of the Apostles, when Peter encountered some Jews, he told them about Jesus..... "You rejected the man who was holy and innocent. You asked to have a murderer given to you, and you killed the source of life. But God brought him back to life, and we are witnesses to that." [Acts 3:14-15 (God's word)] Jesus coming to this Earth caused Him His very own life! To save you and I, He had to die.          It looks and sounds easier on paper right? Imagine being killed by the ones you came to save? That's how much it took from Him. However, the book of Hebrews says....."𝑯𝒆 𝒔𝒂𝒘 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑱𝒐𝒚 𝒂𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒅...

  "For with God, nothing is impossible". If it was possible for the sin of one man to make you a sinner, then it's not impossible for the righteousness of one man to make you righteous.   If it was possible for you to be doomed for Hell because of one man's sin, it's possible for you to be saved by one man's resurrection.     The Old man was of a sinful nature but the New creation man is of an Immortal, incorruptible and righteous nature.      Those who are born again are not born in or of the flesh but of the Spirit.
