Showing forth His praise

1 Peter 2:9

"But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that you should show forth the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvelous light;"

A lot of times I've have looked at this verse and just used it Willy nilly and did not actually sit back to fully understand what Apostle Peter was saying.

Using the law of post-text, let's get a understanding of what was being said👇

1 Peter 2:9

"But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that you should show forth the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvelous light;"

"We are a chosen generation.....a royal priesthood....a holy nation....a peculiar people."

Now that we have become this in and through Christ, what should we do next?👇👇

"that you should show forth the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvelous light;"

We should, because of what we have become through Christ, SHOW FORTH PRAISES OF HIM (GOD).

What did God do?👇👇👇

"Who has called you out of darkness into his marvelous light;"

Amazing!! How did God do that? 😲

1 Peter 2:10

"Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy."

In time past we were a people (not of God) who had not received the Mercy (Promise) of God but through Christ Jesus, we are a people (of God) who have obtained the Mercy (Promise) of God.

This is similar to what Apostle Paul said to the Ephesians 👇👇👇

Ephesians 2:12-13

(12)

"That at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:"

(13)

"But now in Christ Jesus you who sometimes were far off are made near by the blood of Christ."

Through the blood (signifying the Death) of Jesus Christ, we who were afar off are now a people of God. 👇👇

Ephesians 2:19

"Now therefore you are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God;"

This is the praises of God we are to show forth in every aspect of our lives.

If you read to the end, write in the comments 👇👇👇

"Thank you Jesus for paying the price for me!"

I hope this blesses you...

I love you ❤️

THE TRUE PLAN AND INTENTION OF GOD

TRUE PLAN AND INTENTION OF GOD Romans 9:22  And the same is true of what God has done. He wanted to show his anger and to make his power known. But he was very patient in enduring those who were the objects of his anger, who were doomed to destruction. Romans 9:23  And he also wanted to reveal his abundant glory, which was poured out on us who are the objects of his mercy, those of us whom he has prepared to receive his glory. During the time of the Law, God was supposed to show his anger to Man for their sins but he was very patient.  What is God's anger? The departure of his presence. He would leave those that has rejected Him. Outside of God is destruction. God knew that we were doomed for destruction. Due to the greatness and richness of love he has for us, he focused more on getting us saved than our flaws.  "He is not slow in fulfilling his promises but he is patient, that all may come to repentance." God's plan has also been to show us his abundance of Glory.

The New life

Ephesians 2:4  But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us, Ephesians 2:5  Even when we were dead in sins, has quickened us together with Christ, (by grace you are saved;) Ephesians 2:6  And has raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:  𝖤𝗏𝖾𝗋𝗒 𝖢𝗁𝗂𝗅𝖽 𝗈𝖿 𝖦𝗈𝖽 (𝖻𝖾𝗅𝗂𝖾𝗏𝖾𝗋) 𝗂𝗌 𝗌𝗂𝗍𝗍𝖾𝖽 𝗍𝗈𝗀𝖾𝗍𝗁𝖾𝗋 𝗂𝗇 𝖢𝗁𝗋𝗂𝗌𝗍 𝖩𝖾𝗌𝗎𝗌 " 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀".    𝖶𝗁𝖾𝗇 𝖦𝗈𝖽 𝗌𝖾𝖾𝗌 𝖺 𝖻𝖾𝗅𝗂𝖾𝗏𝖾𝗋, 𝖧𝖾 𝖽𝗈𝖾𝗌𝗇'𝗍 𝗌𝖾𝖾 𝗍𝗁𝖾𝗆 𝗂𝗇 𝗌𝗂𝗇. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? 𝖨𝖿 𝗒𝗈𝗎 𝗎𝗌𝖾 𝗍𝗁𝖾 𝗅𝖺𝗐 𝗈𝖿 𝗉𝗋𝖾𝗍𝖾𝗑𝗍 𝖺𝗇𝖽 𝗋𝖾𝖺𝖽 𝗍𝗁𝖾 𝗉𝗋𝖾𝗏𝗂𝗈𝗎𝗌 𝖼𝗁𝖺𝗉𝗍𝖾𝗋, 𝗒𝗈𝗎'𝗅𝗅

Lean on God

Beloved, do not lean or trust on yourself to please God but trust in Christ Jesus. . . . You can never please God by your works. It is impossible.  . . . In the old testament, it is said that a man's act of righteousness is as a "filthy rag" unto God. Good works was just not enough to meet the standard of being right with God. . . . But even though we were like filthy rags, He still loved us. With an unending and everlasting love. . . . In the book of Romans 5 vs 8, Apostle Paul "But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners." . . . God didn't come to die for us because of we've been good our whole lives, He died for us because we've been bad and were still doing bad. . . . This is not a reward, it's a gift. This was not earned, it is free. It was not works but Grace. Ephesians 2:5  Even when we were dead in sins, has quickened us together with Christ, (by grace you are saved)!!! . . . Christ h
