One with Christ

𝗖𝗛𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗧

What is the meaning of Christ? Christ can be defined in Greek as "Christos" which means the "𝑨𝒏𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝑶𝒏𝒆" or in Hebrew as "Mashiyach" which translates, the "𝑨𝒏𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝑶𝒏𝒆".

When we say "𝑱𝒆𝒔𝒖𝒔 𝑪𝒉𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒕", we must understand that Christ is not a surname of Jesus but a reference given to him, describing him as the "𝑨𝒏𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝑶𝒏𝒆".

Now, what was Jesus anointed with that made him to be referred to as "𝑨𝒏𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝑶𝒏𝒆"?

And no doubt you know that "𝑮𝒐𝒅 𝒂𝒏𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝑱𝒆𝒔𝒖𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑵𝒂𝒛𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒕𝒉 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑯𝒐𝒍𝒚 𝑺𝒑𝒊𝒓𝒊𝒕 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒑𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓". Then Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the Devil, for God was with him.

It shows here in this verse that Jesus of Nazareth was anointed with the Holy Spirit and with power. Hence, he was called "Anointed one".

Now what were the disciples given on the day of Pentecost?

𝗡𝗟𝗧

𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝘼𝙘𝙩𝙨 1 𝙫𝙨 8:

"But when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, you will receive power and will tell people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

The same anointing and baptism of the Holy Spirit that Jesus received is the same anointing and baptism we received, 𝘼𝙎 𝘽𝙀𝙇𝙄𝙀𝙑𝙀𝙍𝙎. The same power that was given to Jesus through the Holy Spirit has also been given to us.

Let us look at this passage now:

𝗡𝗟𝗧

𝙀𝙥𝙝𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙨 4:5

There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism;

𝙀𝙥𝙝𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙨 4:6

there is one God and Father of all people, who is Lord of all, works through all, and is in all.

There is one Lord who died for us, there is one Faith which is Christ and his finished work and there is one 𝘽𝙖𝙥𝙩𝙞𝙨𝙢.

Now, what did Apostle Paul mean by "𝙤𝙣𝙡𝙮 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝘽𝙖𝙥𝙩𝙞𝙨𝙢"?

𝗡𝗟𝗧

𝘾𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙨 2:12

For when you were baptized, you were buried with Christ, and in baptism you were also raised with Christ through your faith in the active power of God, who raised him from death.

You were baptized, buried and resurrected with Christ the day you believed.

("𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙛𝙖𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧 𝙤𝙛 𝙂𝙤𝙙")

So where does that leave a Believer? Let's look at this Bible verse

𝗔𝗠𝗣

𝙀𝙥𝙝𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙨 2:5

Even when we were dead (slain) by [our own] shortcomings and trespasses, He made us alive together in 𝗳𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 and in 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻 with Christ; [He gave us the very life of Christ Himself, the same new life with which He quickened Him, for] it is by grace (His favor and mercy which you did not deserve) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ's salvation).

𝙀𝙥𝙝𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙨 2:6 And He raised us up together with Him and made us sit down together [giving us joint seating with Him] in the heavenly sphere [by virtue of our being] in Christ Jesus (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

What is the meaning of 𝙐𝙣𝙞𝙤𝙣 and 𝙁𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙤𝙬𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥?

𝙐𝙣𝙞𝙤𝙣 is the joining of two or more things into one. 𝙁𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙤𝙬𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥  is the joining together of spirits and mind with a divine being. (𝘾𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩)

𝗡𝗟𝗧

𝙎𝙩. 𝙅𝙤𝙝𝙣 14:20

When I am raised to life again, you will know that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.

𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙐𝙉𝙄𝙊𝙉 𝘼𝙉𝘿 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙁𝙀𝙇𝙇𝙊𝙒𝙎𝙃𝙄𝙋!

𝗡𝗟𝗧

St. John 14:12 "The truth is, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.

God has given all things as an inheritance to Christ and you are the Body of Christ and Jesus is the Head. Now what is the difference between your Head and your Body? We know that the Head is the most important part of the Body because

𝗜. 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙙 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘽𝙤𝙙𝙮

𝗜𝗜. 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙙 𝙙𝙚𝙘𝙞𝙙𝙚 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘽𝙤𝙙𝙮 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙙𝙤 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙗𝙚.

But despite all this, it doesn't change the fact that the 𝘽𝙤𝙙𝙮 is the same and one with the 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙙. The 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙙 of John is John and also the 𝘽𝙤𝙙𝙮 of John is John. What distinguishes the 𝘽𝙤𝙙𝙮 and 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙙 is their function in John as a whole.

𝘼𝙎 𝘽𝙀𝙇𝙄𝙀𝙑𝙀𝙍𝙎, the authority, baptism, anointing and inheritance given to Jesus has equally been given to us in Christ.

THE TRUE PLAN AND INTENTION OF GOD

TRUE PLAN AND INTENTION OF GOD Romans 9:22  And the same is true of what God has done. He wanted to show his anger and to make his power known. But he was very patient in enduring those who were the objects of his anger, who were doomed to destruction. Romans 9:23  And he also wanted to reveal his abundant glory, which was poured out on us who are the objects of his mercy, those of us whom he has prepared to receive his glory. During the time of the Law, God was supposed to show his anger to Man for their sins but he was very patient.  What is God's anger? The departure of his presence. He would leave those that has rejected Him. Outside of God is destruction. God knew that we were doomed for destruction. Due to the greatness and richness of love he has for us, he focused more on getting us saved than our flaws.  "He is not slow in fulfilling his promises but he is patient, that all may come to repentance." God's plan has also been to show us his abundance of Glory.

The New life

Ephesians 2:4  But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us, Ephesians 2:5  Even when we were dead in sins, has quickened us together with Christ, (by grace you are saved;) Ephesians 2:6  And has raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:  𝖤𝗏𝖾𝗋𝗒 𝖢𝗁𝗂𝗅𝖽 𝗈𝖿 𝖦𝗈𝖽 (𝖻𝖾𝗅𝗂𝖾𝗏𝖾𝗋) 𝗂𝗌 𝗌𝗂𝗍𝗍𝖾𝖽 𝗍𝗈𝗀𝖾𝗍𝗁𝖾𝗋 𝗂𝗇 𝖢𝗁𝗋𝗂𝗌𝗍 𝖩𝖾𝗌𝗎𝗌 " 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀".    𝖶𝗁𝖾𝗇 𝖦𝗈𝖽 𝗌𝖾𝖾𝗌 𝖺 𝖻𝖾𝗅𝗂𝖾𝗏𝖾𝗋, 𝖧𝖾 𝖽𝗈𝖾𝗌𝗇'𝗍 𝗌𝖾𝖾 𝗍𝗁𝖾𝗆 𝗂𝗇 𝗌𝗂𝗇. Lean on God

Beloved, do not lean or trust on yourself to please God but trust in Christ Jesus. . . . You can never please God by your works. It is impossible.  . . . In the old testament, it is said that a man's act of righteousness is as a "filthy rag" unto God. Good works was just not enough to meet the standard of being right with God. . . . But even though we were like filthy rags, He still loved us. With an unending and everlasting love. . . . In the book of Romans 5 vs 8, Apostle Paul "But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners." . . . God didn't come to die for us because of we've been good our whole lives, He died for us because we've been bad and were still doing bad. . . . This is not a reward, it's a gift. This was not earned, it is free. It was not works but Grace. Ephesians 2:5  Even when we were dead in sins, has quickened us together with Christ, (by grace you are saved)!!! . . . Christ h
