The Scriptures also known as the old testament (The Law of Moses, Psalms and the Prophets) spoke about the coming of Jesus Christ which Jesus revealed in Luke 24 vs 26-28
Luke 24: 24-26
AMP:And [Jesus] said to them, O foolish ones [sluggish in mind, dull of perception] and slow of heart to believe (adhere to and trust in and rely on) everything that the prophets have spoken!
26
AMP:Was it not necessary and essentially fitting that the Christ (the Messiah) should suffer all these things before entering into His glory (His majesty and splendor)?
27
AMP:Then beginning with Moses and [throughout] all the Prophets, He went on explaining and interpreting to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning and referring to Himself
He also revealed it in vs 44-47
Luke 24: 44-47
AMP:Then He said to them, This is what I told you while I was still with you: everything which is written concerning Me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.
45
AMP:Then He [thoroughly] opened up their minds to understand the Scriptures,
46
AMP:And said to them, Thus it is written that the Christ (the Messiah) should suffer and on the third day rise from ( among) the dead,
47
AMP:And that repentance [with a view to and as the condition of] forgiveness of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem.
If whatever you teach from the old testament doesn't align with the knowledge of the Coming of Christ, you teach things of inneccesity.
The Birth and the Life of Jesus was not just to show you the right way to live or to show Man that they can be Righteous by their works or the can stop sinning. No. He came here that He may die for us sins and reveal to us the nature of our Father.
John 8 vs 19
AMP:Then they said to Him, Where is this Father of Yours? Jesus answered, You know My Father as little as you know Me. If you knew Me, you would know My Father also.
John 14 vs 7
AMP:If you had known Me [had learned to recognize Me], you would also have known My Father. From now on, you know Him and have seen Him.
And Apostle reveals in Hebrews 1 vs 3
NIV:The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.
Jesus's Death was the sacrifice for our sins
John 10 vs 15
NIV:just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep.
Hence Apostle Paul stated in
Hebrews 10 vs 12 vs 14
AMP:Whereas this One [Christ], after He had offered a single sacrifice for our sins [that shall avail] for all time, sat down at the right hand of God,
13
AMP:Then to wait until His enemies should be made a stool beneath His feet.
14
AMP:For by a single offering He has forever completely cleansed and perfected those who are consecrated and made holy.
Jesus's Resurrection was for our Glorification and our imputing of Eternal Life
Ephesians 2 vs 4-5
4
AMP:But God—so rich is He in His mercy! Because of and in order to satisfy the great and wonderful and intense love with which He loved us,
5
AMP:Even when we were dead (slain) by [our own] shortcomings and trespasses, He made us alive together in fellowship and in union with Christ; [He gave us the very life of Christ Himself, the same new life with which He quickened Him, for] it is by grace (His favor and mercy which you did not deserve) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvation).
This is the Gospel. This is what the Bible is about. It talks about Chcrist. It's a Christo-centric material.
If your preaching doesn't align with this....then it is not the Gospel.
What is the Gospel? The Gospel is the Goodnews which states that Mankind has been forgiven of their sins and have been granted and imputted Eternal Life in Christ Jesus
The Bible speaks only of one thing.. It speaks of Christ Jesus.
